Ayahuasca Benefits

Ayahuasca and Environmental Awareness

Incredibly, there have been many reports of Ayahuasca literally urging people to be much more careful and concerned about nature; this can happen in various ways: the person may feel a constant state of connection and openness with nature, there may be clear and surprising revelations about the importance of the environment, and Ayahuasca itself may even tell people that protecting natural life is also part of a spiritual life.

For example, a participant in an Ayahuasca session had a vision in which a pack of white wolves ran down a hill to tell him—yes, they spoke—that he should be more concerned and committed to ecological issues… the mysterious wisdom of the sacred plant of the Amazon seeks to guide us toward the preservation of nature and, in fact, the preservation of species, including our own. Everything indicates that the sacred and healing Ayahuasca is also sounding the alarm and awakening a growing number of people to the importance of evolving beyond narcissism, a lack of broad social connections, and indifference to the fate of the natural world. Mother Ayahuasca is telling spiritual people around the world that the dominant global paradigm (a materialism where monetary gain and elites rule) could lead humanity to a very dangerous place.

And yet, this concern for ecological conservation clashes directly with the interests of the global system, which appears primarily focused on increasing production—and thus profits—without giving much thought to the impact on nature or even on society. A massive strategy of social manipulation and denial is being carried out on various levels, leaving millions of people lacking adequate knowledge or harboring doubts about ecological issues. In this entire context, the spirituality of Ayahuasca certainly reveals a clear truth: that by destroying nature, humanity is seriously endangering the viability of the entire species.

Our Amazonian shamans have grown up with a completely different worldview; they come from families with a long tradition of shamanism, dating back long before the time of the Incas. They focus on spiritual healing and development in harmony with nature, taking care to avoid the excessive use of natural resources, since their tribes depend on them for survival, not for mass industrial production and sale.

However, Ayahuasca is a mystical plant that seeks to take people beyond and above the prevailing—yet limited—levels of consciousness and spiritual development; An Ayahuasca retreat in the Amazon is a guaranteed setting for tremendous emotional, spiritual, and even biological achievements, as the Ayahuasca brew is showing excellent results in healing many psycho-spiritual issues, and is even healing cells and tissues in a precancerous state.
